Stripes Convenience Stores celebrated its newest Lubbock and Odessa locations with ribbon-cutting events on May 26. Susser Holdings Corporation president & CEO Sam L. Susser was on-hand to present a donation check to representatives from University Medical Center in Lubbock and Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, the local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, on behalf of Stripes’ local Children’s Miracle Network fundraising efforts earlier this year.
Stripes’ latest Children’s Miracle Network fundraising campaign broke previous records, including an 85 percent increase in the amount collected in Lubbock, totaling more than $29,000 this year for University Medical Center, and an 110% increase in the amount collected in Odessa, totaling more than $31,500 this year for Medical Center Hospital.
Attendees also enjoyed sampling and prize-wheel giveaways throughout the ribbon-cutting ceremony festivities.
